Twitter now let all iOS, Android and web users listen to recorded Spaces

Twitter Spaces will acquire a Podcast-style feature that will allow users to listen to a recording of the platform's talks. All users on android, iOS, and the Web may now listen to recordings of Twitter Spaces thanks to the new update. This was previously only available to iOS users. Additionally, presenters on both iOS and Android will be able to record a Space using the platform. Twitter's move comes after Clubhouse, Twitter's main competitor, introduced the option to record and replay sessions in September of this year.

The latest update was announced by the Twitter Support team on Tuesday, December 7. As previously stated, the new capability allows listeners and broadcasters to reach a larger audience by recording Twitter Spaces. Before initiating a Space, certain hosts on Android and iOS can now record it by pressing the Record Space option.

At the top, a recording symbol will appear. When the Space is over, the host will see how many people attended, as well as a link to share the recording through Twitter. If the host decides to record a Space, the recording will be made publicly available as soon as the live Space concludes. The more symbol on the recording itself may be used to remove the recordings. After the event, Twitter will keep audio copies for 30 to 120 days to check for breaches of the Twitter Rules.

To compete with Clubhouse, the microblogging service has been introducing several new features to its Spaces. Twitter launched a feature in November that allows anybody to listen to Spaces audio via direct links. It lets users to send direct links to their Spaces to others, and invitees may listen to the audio session without logging into the platform.
