Apple announced the release of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4, and macOS Monterey 12.3 alongside the announcement of its new devices, including the iPhone SE (2022), Mac Studio, Studio Display, and the green iPhone 13 series. One of the most beneficial features of iOS 15.4 is the ability to utilize Face ID to unlock an iPhone while wearing a mask.
Universal Control will be included in the upcoming iPadOS and macOS versions, allowing users to operate smoothly between an iPad and a Mac. The iPhone 13 Pro in Alpine Green and the iPhone 13 in Green will also come with iOS 15.4, according to Apple. Next week, current iPhone owners will be able to upgrade to the latest iOS software.
The iOS 15.4 update will include a new option to use Face ID to unlock your iPhone while wearing a mask. Since late January, the functionality has been under beta testing. People have been having trouble unlocking their smartphones while wearing a face mask, therefore this is one of the most requested features. Apple attempted to fix the issue by introducing a faster way to use passcodes to unlock Face ID-equipped devices when wearing face masks.
