Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) is going to sell drones seized by them. The 20 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) seized from the concerned agencies will be auctioned off for that as per the CAAN.
CAAN has called for sealed bids for that on the 9 th of March, 2022. The drones will be auctioned in the same condition as they are now, according to the authority. CAAN has set a minimum pledge price of Rs 759,408 for 20 drones (including VAT).
The winning bidder will be required to deposit 10% of the total amount pledged in the bank. Those interested in purchasing can submit sealed bids within 15 days as per. Drones are not permitted to fly in certain areas, including private property, monasteries, and security-sensitive areas, according to the government.
Permission must be obtained from the administration to fly drones in the area. Drones that fly without permission, on the other hand, can be taken under police control.
