Startup & Idea Fest 2022 successfully held in Gandaki Province, Five companies selected for incubation

The first province-level ‘Startup & Idea Fest 2022’, jointly organized by Living with ICT and ICT Foundation Nepal, was successfully held in Gandaki with great success. About 30 startups from the Gandaki province took part in fest held at City Square Banquet in New Road, Pokhara. Fourteen startups and innovators presented their business ideas at the Idea Pitching, Mentoring and Experience Sharing event held at the fest. Hello Health Clinic, Ek Call Home Solution, Saatvik Nutrients, Quad Game, and Xdezo Technologies Company Incubation and Mentoring are among the five companies chosen.

The competition was won by Saatvik Nutrients and the Saatvik Group of Companies. Saatvik Nutrients, the first company, will receive Rs 1.5 million loan from Rastriya Banijya Bank.Entrepreneurs Pragat Kayastha, CEO of Foodmood, a Pokhara-based food delivery service, Roshan Gyawali, Managing Director of Ebeema, Manoj Bhattarai, CEO of Celeb and SmartPalika, Naresh Lamgade, CEO of BugV, Bamdev Bhandari, CEO of Evalaya Tech, and Bijendra Rochan Joshi, COO of Rooster Logic Pvt. Ltd.

The first province-level samvad named "DIGITAL GANDAKI SAMVAD SESSION" has also been completed which begun from Gandaki province.Raghu Raj Kafle, Deputy Chairman of the Gandaki Provincial Policy and Planning Commission, Dilip Pratap Khand, Mayor of Waling Municipality, Kaski Jagan Bahadur Gurung, Assistant Professor of Pokhara University Uday Raj Dhungana, and Data Expert of Roster Logic Brijendra Rochan Joshi were among those in attendance. Bindu Kumar Thapa, Gandaki's Minister for Law, Communications, and Parliamentary Affairs, was also present.

"We have already started work on the construction of an IT park in Gandaki," Minister Thapa said at the event, "and preparations have been made to move forward with the work of DPR by allocating a 20 million budget." Gandaki and local governments are also working to establish their own data center. Minister Thapa stated that digitization is critical for the state's development and good governance.

Raj Satyal, a Gandaki Pradesh information technology and e-governance expert, and Kiran KC, Principal of La Grande International College, presented on the state of digitization in Gandaki Pradesh and its future course of action during the samvad session. Pragat Kayastha, the Founder and CEO of Foodmood, Manoj Bhattarai, the CEO of Celeb and SmartPalika, Roshan Gyawali, the Founder of Ebeema, and Subhash Acharya, the CEO of InfoDevelopers, were all in attendance. Various personalities and experts in the fields of information technology and enterprise in Gandaki also attended the program.
