Startup & Idea Fest 2022 and Digital Province 1 Samvad Session jointly organized by Living with ICT and ICT Foundation Nepal will be held in Biratnagar today (18 th of April, 2022). The startup and innovation program will begin at 11 a.m., and the digital samvad session will begin at 3 p.m as per the organizers. The program, which is being organized across all 7 provinces of the country, has already been completed in the Gandaki, Lumbini, and Madhesh provinces. The eBeema Startup & Idea Fest 2022 Powered by Yarsa Labs brings IT startups, innovators, entrepreneurs, state government, local government representatives, stakeholders, and students together.
More than 30 startup ideas and innovations will be on display at the fest today. This program will aid in the development of entrepreneurship by bringing together the province's startups and innovators. All the necessary coordination will be provided for various types of support, promotion, incubation, mentoring, and investment for digital startups. Local innovators and innovators will be promoted, necessary investment will be raised, and IT entrepreneurship will be developed in the state as a result of the Startup and Idea Fest.
They will be required to participate in a business incubation program to be held in Kathmandu following the completion of the province's program after selecting at least five of the best startups and ideas from each provinces. Rastriya Banijya Bank will provide a concessional loan of up to Rs 1.5 million to the best startups of each province and they will be recognized at the ICT Award 2022 as well as per the organizers. The organizers believe that this program will provide a valuable platform for the growth of entrepreneurship. Necessary stalls, pitching, and mentoring sessions for startups and students wishing to participate will be available free of charge. The Digital Samvad Session aims to highlight digital transformation efforts and practices in order to advance the Digital Nepal agenda.
The goal of this program is to lay the groundwork for a digital ecosystem by discussing current digital practice and eGovernment work, policies, plans, and future course of action for the province's development and transformation with public and private stakeholders. Two important presentations will be presented during the program, as well as a panel discussion with representatives from the province Government, the Vice-Chairman of the Planning Commission, local people's representatives, stakeholders, entrepreneurs, and experts. The event will be attended by more than ten IT experts and entrepreneurs from Kathmandu. Following the Province 1 program, programs will be held in the provinces of Far West, Karnali, and Bagmati.
A two-day Digital Nepal Conclave will also be held in Kathmandu in the second week of June, following the same province's samvad session. The efforts will be made to advance the agenda of Digital Nepal by presenting the digital status and report of each province during the samvad session.
