The Startup & Idea Fest 2022 and Digital Karnali Samvad Session, jointly organized by Living with ICT and ICT Foundation Nepal has been concluded with a resounding success in Karnali Province yesterday on the 26 th of May, 2022. More than 15 startups took part in the fest held at Surkhet.
Likewise, startups and innovators presented their businesses and ideas during Idea Pitching, Mentoring, and Experience Sharing sessions at the fest which started from 1 PM onwards. Aside from that, there were more than 1500 visitors at the fest. Three companies were chosen for incubation and mentoring. Surkhet Soft Pvt Ltd. was recognized as the best startup among them. The company will be recognized in ICT AWARD 2022 as per the organizers.
Likewise, Digital Karnali Samvad Session has also been completed in Karnali Province with resounding success. The Chief Minister of Karnali Province, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi was present as the chief guest at Digital Karnali Samvad Session. Also, representatives of government bodies, private sector and other stakeholders were present at the samvad session.
A wide-ranging discussion took place about the state of digitization in the Karnali Province, as well as the policies and action plans that will be implemented in the coming days. IT and e-governance expert Surendra Yadav and Mid-West University Assistant Professor Panchadev Bhatta presented their working paper during the session. The Digital Samvad Session aimed to highlight digital transformation efforts and practices in order to advance the Digital Nepal agenda.
