According to a source, firmware development for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4 has begun. Both Samsung foldable smartphones are likely to join the market in the coming months. The news comes at a time when the rumor mill is pumping out information about the hardware and design of smartphones from all directions.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 will have a less obvious foldable display crease as per the source.
According to SamMobile, Samsung has begun firmware development for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. They are equipped with firmware F936NKSU0AVF2 and F721NKSU0AVF2, respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 will have a 7.6-inch QXGA AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, according to the source. A 6.2-inch HD+ AMOLED cover display with a 120Hz refresh rate is reportedly believed to be included in the phone. The new foldable phone's display features are comparable to those of the Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The Galaxy Z Fold 4 is expected to come with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, 12GB and 16GB of RAM, and 256GB and 512GB of storage.
The Galaxy Z Fold 3 was released last year with the Snapdragon 888 SoC and 12GB RAM, as well as 256GB and 512GB internal storage choices. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is believed to sport a triple back camera arrangement, similar to last year's model.
