iPhone 13 ‘Unlock With Apple Watch’ Issue to Be Fixed

Early adopters have already begun reporting difficulties with the iPhone 13 series, which began delivering a few days ago in many areas. Third-party animations on iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro units are allegedly being capped at 60Hz due to a problem with the Unlock with Apple Watch functionality.

Despite the fact that the Pro versions offer up to 120Hz refresh rates, the latter problem persists. A video has also surfaced demonstrating how an iPhone 13's screen repair by a third-party repair center causes Face ID to cease operating. Apple has issued a note on its support website regarding potential issues that customers may have while utilizing the iPhone 13's Unlock with Apple Watch function.

The business claims to be aware of the problem and plans to address it in a future software update. If you try to unlock your iPhone while wearing a face mask, you could get an error that says "Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch," or you might not be able to set up Unlock with Apple Watch. For the time being, Apple recommends turning off "Unlock with Apple Watch" and using the password method to unlock the iPhone 13 until the software update is released. Go to Settings > Face ID and then Passcode to disable Unlock with Apple Watch.

While using numerous third-party apps, the iPhone 13 Pro's ProMotion screen cannot surpass 60Hz refresh rate, according to 9to5Mac. While normal animations and scrolling interactions are automatically scaled up to 120Hz, third-party developers will allegedly need to write specific code to take full use of the 120Hz display on the Pro model, according to reports.

Developers will need to add a new Info.plist key to opt-in, according to Apple, and documentation for this will be released soon. Apple maintains that the third-party app opt-in process was implemented to improve battery life.
