Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W: New $15 board offers up to 5x the performance of its predecessor

As a successor to the Raspberry Pi Zero, the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W microcontroller has been released. The Broadcom BCM2710A1 SoC is also found in the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, as it is in the launch version of the Raspberry Pi 3. The wireless Zero W board has a 1GHz CPU that, according to the firm, is five times quicker than the previous model. It also comes with 512MB of LPDDR2 RAM. Smart home applications and other IoT projects are also compatible with the board. In 2015, the Raspberry Pi Zero was introduced.

Specifications:

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has the same physical dimensions as the original Raspberry Pi Zero. It now has three more cores. A quad-core 64-bit Arm Cortex-A53 CPU running at 1GHz powers the board. The Raspberry Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP) is the board's main selling point.

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has a BCM2710A1 processor and 512MB of LPDDR2 SDRAM. For power and USB 2.0, the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has a single Mini-HDMI connector and two Micro-USB connections. It also has 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n wireless LAN and Bluetooth v4.2 connection. It has OpenGL ES 1.1, 2.0 graphics for videos. H.264 decode (1080p30), MPEG-4 encode (1080p60), and H.264 encode (1080p30). The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W has solder points for composite video and reset pins, as well as a CSI-2 camera connection.

The board is 65x30mm in size. Raspberry Pi has also released a new official USB power supply with a USB micro-B connection to go along with the Zero 2 W. The Raspberry Pi 3B or 3B+ may also be powered by the new Raspberry Pi Zero 2 PSU. It has an $8 (approximately Rs. 952) price tag which is available with a Type-D port.

Pricing in Nepal:

The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W costs $15. (roughly Rs. 1,785). Multiple retailers listed on the official Raspberry Pi website in Canada, the European Union, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the United States are now selling the wireless Zero W board.
