Redmi Note Series Global Sales Surpass 240 Million, Xiaomi Promises 10,000 Stores

The Redmi Note series has reputedly sold over 240 million devices worldwide, according to Xiaomi. Xiaomi said in February that global sales of the Redmi Note series smartphones had surpassed 200 million units. That is to say, in the previous seven months, the series has sold another 40 million units. Xiaomi released the first phone in the Redmi Note series in 2014. Since then, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has released a slew of new devices, the most recent of which is the Redmi Note 11 series.

Xiaomi also announced that by the end of this month, it would have reached the 10,000-store mark globally. IThome reports that global sales of the Redmi Note series had surpassed 240 million devices, citing Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing. On Thursday, October 28, the news was made during the Redmi Note 11 series launch event. Xiaomi, on the other hand, has not released specific data for the various generations of Redmi Note phones. Separately, Lu Weibing revealed on Weibo that Xiaomi would have launched over 10,000 outlets by the end of October. The Shenzhen Happy Harbor shop will be the 10,000th. Xiaomi stated in February of this year that global sales of its Redmi Note series had topped 200 million units. On Thursday, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 11 series in China.

The Redmi Note 11 5G, Redmi Note 11 Pro, and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ are the three smartphones in the new lineup. The MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC powers the Redmi Note 11 5G, which has a 6.6-inch full-HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Redmi Note 11 has a dual-camera configuration on the back and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging. Apart from the battery and fast charging capability, the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ have the same characteristics.

Both devices include a hole-punch design and a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 360Hz touch sampling rate. The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 920 SoCs in the Redmi Note 11 Pro and Redmi Note 11 Pro+ are coupled with up to 8GB of RAM. Up to 256GB of internal storage is available. Both smartphones include a quad-camera arrangement on the back, with the main sensor measuring 108 megapixels. The Redmi Note 11 Pro+ comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging, while the Redmi Note 11 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging.
