WhatsApp \'Delete for Everyone\' May Get Indefinite Time Limit

WhatsApp is apparently working on expanding the 'delete for everyone' feature's time limit. According to another rumor, Facebook's (now Meta) instant messaging service is rolling out a new video playback interface for iOS devices for videos uploaded on Instagram, YouTube, and other sites.

The WhatsApp message deletion option was first released in 2017, with a seven-minute time limit for the 'delete for everyone' feature, which was later raised to more than an hour. According to WABetaInfo, the WhatsApp features tracker, the time limit for the 'delete for everyone' function in WhatsApp for Android beta v2.21.23.1 may be raised to an infinite duration, up from the 4,096 seconds time restriction established in 2018. The tracker also warns that because this feature is still in development, it should be regarded with a grain of salt until beta testers get their hands on it.

There's also no word on when this forthcoming feature will be released. The 'delete for everyone' option was initially launched in 2017, and the tool's time limit was set to seven minutes at the time. Users may erase messages from personal and group chats in WhatsApp using this capability. When you remove a message, you'll see a notification in the chat box that says This message was deleted. According to another tip from WABetaInfo, WhatsApp for iOS is getting a new video playback interface.

Users will be able to stop, play the movie in fullscreen mode, or close the picture-in-picture window as a result of this. This capability is apparently being received by certain iOS beta testers on version 2.21.220.15 of the app. Late last month, a test version for Android smartphones was released. Furthermore, certain iOS beta testers may notice a change in the way YouTube videos are played in WhatsApp, according to the tracker. These movies will be shown in fullscreen mode by default.
