Instagram to Roll out Subscription Feature, Know More about its Rates

Instagram is going to launch a subscriptions feature that would let creators to profit from their work on the site. Users may have to pay to read Stories or access other material or media from creators on the Meta-owned (previously known as Facebook) app once creator subscriptions are rolled out. In the US Instagram's Apple App Store listing now includes an Instagram Subscriptions category under the In-App Purchases section, implying that the premium function would be available to more people.

On Twitter, some users reported that the new in-app purchase option was also available in the United Kingdom. The Instagram app for iOS has been upgraded with new in-app purchases called Instagram Subscriptions, which cost $0.99 to $4.99 in the United States, according to TechCrunch. Along with Instagram Badges, the new subscription information are presented. According to the TechCrunch article, which cites analytic firm Sensor Tower, the first Instagram Subscriptions in-app purchase was added to Instagram's US App Store listing on November 1 for $4.99.

It was announced on November 3 that a $0.99 in-app purchase will be available. A few people speculated on Twitter that the new subscription options were also available in the UK App Store. Instagram, on the other hand, has yet to publicly acknowledge the launch of these in-app transactions. Influencers and content creators on the photo-sharing app may be able to sell access to exclusive content as a result of the shift.

Super Follows, a similar tool released by Twitter earlier this year, allows artists to earn monthly cash by sharing subscriber-only material with their followers. The corporation announced its plans in February, and the first phase was launched in September for iOS users in the United States and Canada. Creators may choose between a monthly membership of $2.99, $4.99, or $9.99 each month under the plan.
