PUBG: New state publisher Krafton commented on the brick issue, Game age verification fails

In response to reports that the battle royale game was bricking devices, PUBG: New State publisher Krafton stated that it had "adequate testing" prior to the official launch. The South Korean corporation also stated that the game's seamless operation had been certified.

The bricking issue that was observed by certain players on social media immediately after the debut of PUBG: New State earlier this week went unanswered by Krafton. In addition to the bricking issue, players have reported that it is simple to go around PUBG: New State's age verification prompt and play the game even if they are not 18 or older. Many customers claimed that PUBG: New State bricked their smartphones when they were asked to sign in as a guest or using a social network account.

Several user complaints stated that the problem was mostly on Android 12 smartphones. Due to technical difficulties, the release of PUBG: New State was delayed by a couple of hours on Thursday. On the game's official website, Krafton also listed various concerns with the game. Along with the issues that users originally encountered, PUBG: New State has a lax age verification system that may be easily circumvented.

The game displays a message asking players to confirm whether they are 18 or older, but if you hit No, the game will continue without asking for any other information. To address concerns about enabling children to play the game, Krafton instituted the parental approval requirement with the introduction of BGMI earlier this year. It was included as one of the features to set the game apart from its previous version, PUBG Mobile, which was banned last year.
