Instagram Will Now Let Users \"Rage Shake\" Their Phone to Report an Issue

Instagram Will Now Let Users \

Instagram has updated its iOS and Android applications to include a new feature that allows users to 'Rage Shake' their phones to report an issue. For the time being, the image-sharing service has only made the option available to customers in the United States, allowing them to easily report any concerns they encounter while using the app. Instagram has also improved image posting, making it easier for users to delete individual photographs from a carousel after it has been published. This feature is now only accessible on iOS devices.

In a video on Twitter, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri highlighted the new function, saying that users would be able to swiftly notify the business about any difficulties they encounter on the app. The app already has an issue reporting option called "Did something go wrong?" that users may find under Help > Report a problem in the Settings menu. When a phone is 'rage shaken' while using the app, the problem reporting screen appears, making it quicker to report an issue without having to rummage through the settings menu.

It's worth mentioning that the'shake to report' function has been available for a while and is already supported by applications like Facebook, which allows users to report technical issues with the app and turn off the feature. Users may also report an issue by shaking their phones, and developers can utilize software development kits (SDKs) to add the same capability to their apps. As previously stated, the 'Rage Shake' function is accessible for both Android and iOS users, however it is now only available in the United States. The second feature, dubbed 'Carousel Deletion' by Mosseri, would enable users to delete photos and movies from a carousel.

Rather of having to remove and re-upload the post, Carousel Deletion allows users to delete specific photographs while keeping the rest of the material intact. He illustrates the procedure in the video, calling it a "finally" feature, demonstrating how users may select the three-dot menu, then swipe to the image they wish to erase. The Carousel Deletion function will appear as a trash symbol at the top of the menu, and users may then click Done to save the changed content. According to Mosseri, the functionality is presently accessible on iOS, with Android support coming shortly.
