Lenovo Legion Y700 Gaming Tablet announced: 8.8-inch 120Hz display, Dolby Atmos

Lenovo has teased the Lenovo Legion Y700, a new gaming tablet for the Chinese market. The tablet looks to be aimed at mobile gamers wishing for a larger screen than what gaming smartphones have to offer. The business has yet to announce a debut date for the tablet, as well as the device's exact specifications. The 8.8-inch display of the Lenovo Legion Y700 boasts fast refresh and touch sampling rates.

The resolution of the display is 2,560x1,600 pixels. Lenovo announced the Legion Y700 gaming tablet on Weibo. Its 8.8-inch display features a refresh rate of 120Hz and supports the DCI-P3 color gamut in its entirety. For reduced input latency, the display has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The tablet has somewhat thick bezels when held horizontally, which should give a comfortable grip when gaming. The Legion Y700 is shown to have a single camera sensor on the rear with an LED flash. The back panel looks to be made of brushed metal.

According to a recent report by ITHome, live photographs of the Lenovo Legion Y700 leaked on Weibo, implying that the tablet's JBL speakers are boosted by Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision technology. The new Lenovo gaming tablet's other characteristics and features, as well as its release date and pricing, are yet unknown. In October, Lenovo announced the Lenovo Tab 6 5G, which would be available early next year. It features a 10.3-inch TFT display with a 1,200x1,920-pixel resolution.

The Snapdragon 690 5G SoC is at the heart of everything. The tablet has a total of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB). It has an 8-megapixel camera on the back and an 8-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Children-friendly features include a 'Kids Space' for pre-schoolers and a 'Learning mode' for elementary school students on the Lenovo Tab 6 5G. It will also have Google Family Link, which will allow parents to monitor their children's tablet activities.
