The Huawei P50 Pocket foldable phone has been launched in China. This is the Chinese tech giant's first clamshell folding phone. Huawei has previously released the Mate X foldable smartphone series. The Huawei P50 Pocket has a multi-dimensional hinge that allows the phone to unfold without creasing. The display on this phone is a 6.9-inch main OLED with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 300Hz. The primary display also features a full-HD+ resolution (2,790x1,188 pixels).

The Huawei P50 Pocket has two screens: a 6.9-inch primary OLED panel and a 1-inch secondary OLED display. Checking alerts, receiving calls, and shooting selfies are all possible on the secondary screen. It even features widgets for both first-party and third-party apps. HarmonyOS is the operating system that it runs on. This foldable phone has a primary camera with a resolution of 40 megapixels, as well as a secondary camera with a resolution of 32 megapixels and a rear camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels. The triple rear camera arrangement can record videos at a resolution of up to 4K. The Huawei P50 Pocket also has a 10.7-megapixel hole-punch selfie camera in the center. The Snapdragon 888 4G SoC is combined with an Adreno 660 GPU in the Huawei P50 Pocket smartphone. Its battery has a capacity of 4,000mAh and can charge at up to 40W.
Pricing and availability
The Huawei P50 Pocket is available in Crystal White and Obsidian Black. In addition, Huawei has collaborated with haute couture designer Iris Van Herpen to create a Huawei P50 Pocket Premium Edition. The gold finish on the premium model has flowing motifs. The Huawei P50 Pocket is priced at CNY 8,988 (roughly Rs. 169,860) with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The premium variant with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage would set you back CNY 10,988 (roughly Rs. 207,658). Huawei is yet to reveal price and availability for the international market.
