Vivo tipped to launch tablet with Snapdragon 870 processor

Vivo is expected to release its first tablet in the coming months. The device was expected to release its first tablet in January of this year, but this did not happen. However, Vivo's VP later confirmed in an interview that the tablet would be released in the first half of 2022. The device could be unveiled between January and June, according to this timeline.

While the rest of the details are still unknown, Digital Chat Station, a reputable Chinese tipster, has claimed that the upcoming Vivo device will be powered by a Snapdragon 870 processor, which was first spotted by GSMArena. The tablet's name is unknown at this time. As was the case with the Realme tablet, it could be dubbed Vivo Pad. In June, the Chinese company reportedly trademarked its tablet under Class 9, which includes other product categories such as PDAs and tablets, with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The upcoming Vivo tablet is thought to be a Vivo device that recently appeared on TUV's website. According to the platform, the device will have an 8,040mAh battery. Aside from Vivo, other well-known brands such as OnePlus and Oppo are also expected to release their first tablet in the near future. The "OnePlus Pad" was allegedly trademarked with EUIPO in July, and a few leaked images have also hinted at the Oppo Pad's features. The Oppo Pad is expected to have a 120Hz display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.

It comes with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone could come preloaded with Android 11, which is based on ColorOS 12. Realme debuted in the tablet market in September of this year. The tablet has an octa-core MediaTek Helio G80 SoC, Dolby Atmos sound support, a 10.4-inch WUXGA+ display, and a 7,100mAh battery with 18W quick charging support.
