GOOGLE: Pixel 4a removed from the Google Store after being out of stock for months

The Google Pixel 4a has been deleted from the company's Google Store less than two years after its release. The Pixel 4a was the company's final 4G smartphone, which was succeeded by the Pixel 5a last year. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G SoC is combined with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the smartphone. According to Google, the smartphone is presently available and will get Android version and security upgrades until August 2023.

According to 9to5Google, the popular midrange smartphone has been deleted from the Google Store. The smartphone was available in twelve countries through the company's website. The Google Pixel 4a was released in October 2020, two months after the firm first introduced the smartphone to the world. The 6GB + 128GB storage edition of the smartphone was priced at Rs. 31,999. The Google Pixel 4a has a 5.81-inch OLED display with full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) resolution. The Snapdragon 730G SoC is combined with 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of internal storage in the device.

The Google Pixel 4a has a 12-megapixel back camera with an f/1.7 aperture lens and an 8-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens on the camera front. A 3,120mAh battery powers the phone, which supports 18W rapid charging. The smartphone came pre-installed with Android 10 and has now been upgraded to Android 12. According to Google's support page, it will get Android OS and security upgrades until August 2023. As previously stated, the Pixel 4a was the final Google smartphone to provide 4G connection; however, the Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a 5G also contain 5G-capable chipsets.

The Pixel 4a was, however, the final Pixel smartphone to be released; the Google Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a 5G were never released there. The launch of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones in Asian countries has yet to be announced by Google. The Google Pixel 6a is expected to debut at Google I/O in May with the rumored Pixel Watch, but the firm has yet to release any details about its forthcoming smartphone.
