The PlayStation State of Play has been announced, and it will be streamed later this week. Gran Turismo 7 will be the main focus of the forthcoming State of Play. Sony is likely to display about half an hour of gameplay footage from Polyphony Digital's next racing simulator. Gran Turismo 7 will be released in March and will be a PlayStation exclusive, as is customary.
The popular Gran Turismo series' eighth installment will be a racing simulator. Sony revealed in a blog post that the next PlayStation State of Play event will take place on February 2 at 2 p.m. PT (3:30am IST on February 3). The event will feature 30 minutes of gameplay video from the upcoming Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5, according to the release. The official Twitch and YouTube platforms will broadcast State of Play.
The live will include gameplay video as well as game modes and features from the renowned racing simulator. PlayStation's State of Play often features gameplay video from a variety of PlayStation exclusive and third-party games. The event usually lasts 20 minutes. Since the blog post states that 30 minutes of Gran Turismo 7 gameplay would be shown, it's safe to presume that the forthcoming event will be longer than normal.
Gran Turismo 7 is set to release on PlayStation 4 on March 4th. The game's Campaign mode will return, this time set in Europe, giving homage to the origins of the phrase "Gran Turismo" in the 17th century. Two of the game's circuits, Trial Mountain and High-Speed Ring, will return in the next Polyphony Digital racing game. The racing simulator's car-designing, car-photography, car-tuning, and car-collection features are all scheduled to be expanded.
