Shiba Inu's value has risen by 10% in the last 24 hours after an Ethereum whale grabbed bought 4 trillion SHIB tokens in a single transaction for $134 million. The whole crypto market has been on a strong surge over the last 24 hours, with prices of most prominent crypto currencies surging, but one specific whale's enormous SHIB transaction saw Shiba Inu's % growth in value overtake Bitcoin and Ether.
Shiba Inu is currently the "most traded and biggest hodling token among the top 1000 ETH wallets," according to a tweet by WhaleStats, a tracker that maintains a careful check on the wallets owned by the 1,000 wealthiest Ethereum whales. However, this isn't the first time Shiba Inu has shown to be the preferred cryptocurrency for whales with large Ethereum wallet holdings.
Meanwhile, the whale's wallet, which purchased 4 trillion SHIB tokens, currently contains more than $144 million in Shiba Inu tokens, accounting for 26% of the portfolio's Ethereum-based token holdings. The Sandbox and GALA, two popular metaverse tokens, account for another $122 million of the wallet's total worth of $500 million in Ethereum-based tokens, with the balance split between Tether stable currencies and altcoins like MATIC, Enjin, and Loopring.
Shiba Inu recovered the top spot among the top 1000 Ethereum wallets by dollar value just over a week ago. This occurred after the Dogecoin-rival had fallen to third place due to a series of price drops. However, the persistent accumulation of whales has assured a steady growth. SHIB has retained its position since then, with a current concentration of 7.71 percent and a market capitalization of nearly $1 billion.
