Honor has confirmed that it is developing a premium foldable smartphone called the Honor Magic V. The firm teased a look at the hinge of the foldable smartphone in a video. It's unclear whether this is a book-like hinge or a clamshell fold design from the photograph. Flat edges are also seen on Honor Magic V. More information has not been released by the firm.
However, a fresh rumor suggests that this flagship smartphone will be released in China in January 2022. The teaser was released on Honor's official Weibo account. When it launches in January next year, the Honor Magic V is believed to be the first foldable smartphone to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. The launch price of this foldable phone is expected to be CNY 10,000.
Huwaei launched Honor in order to compete in the global and Chinese mid-range market. After Huwaei was sanctioned by the United States, the brand parted from its parent firm in 2020. In China, the Honor Play 30 Plus 5G smartphone was just released. The price of this phone starts at CNY 1,099. Its pre-orders began on December 16 and it will be available for purchase on December 31. Honor Play 30 Plus 5G is a dual-SIM (Nano) smartphone that runs on Magic UI 5.0, which is based on Android 11.
The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC is at the heart of it, and it comes with 128GB of internal storage as standard. Its 6.74-inch TFT LCD panel has a 1,600x720-pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The handset's back camera module has a dual-camera configuration, with the main sensor being 13 megapixels. A 5-megapixel selfie camera is also included on the front. It has a 5,000mAh battery with 22.5W rapid charging capabilities.
