“PacProTec 2019”, a premium show on packaging and food-processing equipment, is being organized in Kathmandu from March 12 th to 14 th at Tribhuvan University Grounds. The inaugural event is organized jointly by Messe India along with the Institute of Packaging Machinery Manufacturers of India (IPMMI), and support from ERM Concepts.
Nepal’s food and FMCG market is rapidly growing at the rate of nearly 17% which is much higher than the global average of 2% to 3%. Among Nepal’s growing industries, noodles, confectionaries, and cigarettes are at the top. Growth of beverages and manufacturing of goods are at 20% and 25% respectively; and the plastic industry of Nepal is growing by approximately 11% annually.
This makes Nepal an interesting market for investors - with low-cost setup and non-hostile workforce. PacProTec 2019 is organized to provide a bubbling opportunity in packaging and also act as a showcase of several packaging technologies that the world is adopting.
This exhibition will be the right platform for Nepalese businesses to explore the packaging trends, innovations, and opportunities that are available worldwide. The exhibition will essentially cover current flexible packaging systems, secondary packaging, cartons, and labels.
During the exhibition a conference on “Packaging Innovation and Solutions” will be organized on March 13, which will be an excellent platform for every associate of the packaging industry. The conference will help them understand about the latest trends and technologies in packaging, and help build a network with various stakeholders of the packaging industry.
Apart from the conference, there will be two “PITCH SESSION” on 12 th and 14 th of March. During these sessions, key industry stalwarts will give presentation on their products and their latest innovations in packaging technologies.
With an expected participant count at 100, the exhibition will bring together packaging, printing, and food processing professionals from leading global and regional consumer-product companies in the food, FMCG, and pharmaceutical sectors.
