Gurman: Apple planning redesigned iPad Pro, high-end iMac, new Mac Pro, more for 2022

Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman stated in a newsletter distributed to subscribers that Apple is working on a "wider-range" of new gadgets in 2022, including a revamped iPad Pro, new Apple Watch models, an AirPods Pro update, and a high-end iMac. A revamped MacBook Air, powered by Apple's M2 processor, is also expected to be part of the new lineup. Apple is rumored to be planning the iPhone 14 series for 2022, in addition to updates to its computer products. Apple's new iPhone SE model with 5G capability is also expected to be unveiled by the Cupertino Corporation.

Gurman confirmed his prior assertions in the newest edition of his newsletter Power on, stating that the next iPad Pro would enable wireless charging. The lower-end iPad Air and entry-level iPad will also receive upgrades, according to the writer. Apple is said to be bringing its new Mac models with the iPad versions. A new MacBook Air and a "revamped, high-end" iMac with Apple hardware will be among them. A new entry-level MacBook Pro, a new Mac Pro, and a next-generation Mac mini are all expected to be part of the new series.

Some of these gadgets were rumored to be released this year, but Apple finally chose to update just its high-end MacBook Pro models with the M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs and a notch display design. Apple is also aiming to enhance its Apple Watch family with three new versions in 2022, according to Gurman. According to him, they will include an improved Apple Watch SE as well as a ruggedized model. In the coming year, Apple is expected to release the iPhone SE with 5G and the iPhone 14 models.

We might also anticipate the business to show off its first mixed reality (MR) headset, which will try to improve augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) experiences. Gurman isn't the only Apple watcher who believes the company's 2022 product selection will be expanded. Experts such as Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst, predict a similar path. Apple, on the other hand, has yet to make any public statements regarding what we could see next year. As a result, it's wise to take the reported information with a grain of salt.
