Vivo launches color-changing V23 Pro with dual camera notch

The V23 and V23 Pro are the latest phones in Vivo's popular V series, which has a large following in Asian markets. The Sunshine Gold model's 'color-changing' façade, which seems to change colors fully when exposed to sunshine, is the most remarkable feature. The material took two years to study and create, according to Vivo, and if you leave it in the light for thirty seconds, it will become blue-green before gradually reverting to its original gold color.

The display's notch, which contains two selfie cameras, a 50-megapixel primary unit and an 8-megapixel ultrawide on both phones, is another noteworthy feature. Eye-based autofocus is also supported by the selfie camera system. On the rear, the V23 Pro features a 108-megapixel main camera, while the V23 has a 64-megapixel main camera; both include 8-megapixel ultrawide and 2-megapixel macro sensors.

The screen on the V23 Pro is a 6.56-inch 1080p OLED panel with curved edges that runs at 90Hz. The V23, on the other hand, sports a flat 6.44-inch 90Hz 1080p display, as well as flat edges, akin to an iPhone 12 or 13. The CPU is the second major difference between the two phones: the V23 has a MediaTek Dimensity 920, while the V23 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200.

The V23 will cost $400 for an 8GB device with 128GB of storage and $470 for a 12GB/256GB variant. The V23 Pro is available in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB configurations for $520 and $590, respectively. The phones will also be available in Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as other APAC, Middle East, and European regions "over the following several months."
